Step by Step

What happens before, during, and after treatment.

Most patients arrive nervous about the unknown. The process is simpler when you know what to expect before you walk in.. Here is what to expect before you walk in.

Book the appointment

Call the office nearest you. Our team will ask about your tooth, referral, timing, and any insurance information you'd like us to check for you, then find the earliest practical appointment.

If you are in acute pain or have special needs, say that clearly. We keep capacity for same-day emergency cases.

Bring the basics

You will need a photo ID, insurance card, referral slip if you have one, list of current medications.

Check in and get clarity

Please fill out the registration link that will be emailed to you. If you are coming in for a same-day appointment, arrive 15 minutes early to complete the registration forms.

If you are anxious, tell us when you schedule. We work with nervous patients every day.

Diagnosis before treatment

Your doctor will review your images, examine the tooth, and explain what they see. For complex cases, CBCT imaging may be recommended.

Nothing proceeds until you understand the available treatment options and give your consent.

Treatment, often same-day

Most patients are treated at their first visit. Local anesthesia is given first, and treatment begins only once you are numb and comfortable.

With GentleWave or laser technology, most cases (not all) are completed in a single 90-120 minute visit.

Aftercare and follow-up

Most patients drive themselves home and return to normal activity the same day. Mild soreness the first week is normal and can be easily addressed with OTC medications.

A procedure report goes to your referring dentist, who will typically handle the final restoration.

A Note on Anxiety

Most of our patients arrive nervous. That is expected.

Dental anxiety is real, and endodontic procedures carry a reputation that is mostly undeserved. We know you may have read things online that did not help.

Our doctors will not rush you, dismiss you, or proceed without your understanding. The tooth that is hurting you is the problem. We are the solution to it.

"You're worried it's going to hurt. The key is getting you comfortably and profoundly numb — we specialize in that, and we don't proceed until that's achieved."
