Meet Dr. Priya O’Callaghan

Specialty training: University of Southern California

Dr. O’Callaghan was raised in Australia but has spent the last 30 years in the Bay Area. She was accepted into the dental program at Howard University in Washington D.C. after her junior year at Memphis State University in 1993. Even while a student at Howard University, she played tennis for the University and also coached. In 1998, Dr. O’Callaghan graduated having earned her Doctor of Dental Science degree.

She received her California license the same year and practiced general dentistry in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties before deciding to specialize in Endodontics.

Dr. O’Callaghan resumed her formal education at the University of Southern California and received a Certificate in Endodontics from the USC School of Dentistry in 2003.

Dr. O’Callaghan is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Alameda Dental Society, the American Association of Endodontists and several other Bay Area dental groups.

When she is not performing root canals she enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, trying new restaurants in the bay area, reading and listening to music.
