Cone Beam CBCT

Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is one of the most significant advances in endodontics in the last decade. When used appropriately, it can greatly enhance the diagnosis and treatment planning of a variety of endodontic cases.

Perhaps the most important advantage of CBCT in endodontics is that it reveals anatomical features in 3D that intraoral, panoramic, and cephalometric images cannot. CBCT scans provide a small field of view images at low dose radiation with sufficient resolution for endodontic diagnosis, treatment guidance, and posttreatment evaluation.
