Meet Dr. Priya O’Callaghan


Dr. O’Callaghan was born in India, lived briefly in Africa and grew up in Australia. She had become an accomplished amateur tennis player and was recruited with athletic scholarships to play for colleges in Texas and Tennessee. She was accepted into the dental program at Howard University in Washington D.C. after her junior year at Memphis State University in 1993. Even while a student at Howard University, she continued to play and teach tennis. In 1998, Dr. O’Callaghan graduated having earned her Doctor of Dental Science degree.

She received her California license the same year and practiced general dentistry in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties before deciding to specialize in Endodontics.

Dr. O’Callaghan resumed her formal education at the University of Southern California by first enrolling in a residency program in 2000 for one year and then was accepted for specialization training in Endodontics. She received a Certificate in Endodontics from the USC School of Dentistry in 2003.

Dr. O’Callaghan is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Alameda Dental Society, the American Association of Endodontists and several other Bay Area dental groups.

She is blessed with two energetic and happy children.
